Who We Are
In 2010 I went to work for a well-established health insurance agency in Raleigh as their office manager. Three years later they gave me the opportunity to get my license and become an agent – specializing in Medicare insurance: Supplements, Medicare Advantage, and Part D plans. In 2019 I started my own agency and started working for myself. I have an office in Cary but have clients from all over North Carolina.
I enjoy being an agent and helping my clients understand the Medicare plans available to them and guiding them in their decisions. I have been blessed through the years to not only get new clients but friends also.
As your agent, I will not just sell you a policy, but I will be available to help with any issues or problems you may encounter or to simply answer your questions. I will look out for your best interests, stay in touch, and continue to give guidance for years to come. You will never owe me anything for my service.
I’m originally from Tennessee but have lived in North Carolina since 1986. I have 2 adult children and 8 grandchildren. I enjoy sewing, cooking, long walks and social dancing (ballroom, swing, and some country two-step!)
I’d love the opportunity to talk with you and hopefully earn your trust and confidence!

Most Popular Questions
Yes, I believe it is to your advantage to have an agent to help you understand your options. I say that because I am an agent and I know that there is much to consider when choosing your Medicare coverage. I know how much time I spend reading, learning, and staying informed of Medicare plan changes each year. Plans and parts, parts and plans – how can someone eligible for Medicare figure it out on their own without knowledgeable help?
Why not take advantage of the free guidance an Agent can give to you? A person can only benefit from a caring agent. Especially as they age, the need to have someone looking out for their interests becomes even more pronounced.
Medicare Supplements are plans that act as secondary coverage to Original Medicare Part A and Part B. I have chosen to contract with several insurance carriers in order to give my clients options.
I always take the unbiased approach when helping my client choose a Part D plan. I look at all the plans available to you and assist you in deciding which plan will give you the coverage you need and help you enroll in the plan – even if I’m not contracted with that plan. I also offer my service to you every year during the Annual Enrollment period to review your plan and other options available to you for the upcoming year.
Medicare Advantage plans are alternatives to Original Medicare and are viable options for many. There is much to consider when deciding if this type of plan would work well for you. I help you understand how Medicare Advantage plans work and help you compare the plans available to you. I also offer my service to you every year during the Annual Enrollment period to review your plan and other options available to you for the next year.
I am contracted with a few dental and vision carriers. I usually suggest to those who are interested in Dental Insurance, to first contact their dental office and ask which insurance carriers their practice is in-network with. This usually narrows your choices and lets you know which plan will give you the best bang for your buck.
A couple of years ago I started thinking about the reality that I’m going to leave this earth one day – hopefully later than sooner. It made me think about getting my finances in order and wanting to make sure that my passing did not create a financial burden on my children. For various reasons, I did not have a life insurance policy that would help with burial expenses, so I purchased a Final Expense plan. It will give my children $10,000 to use for my burial – maybe not enough but a major help. The good part is that I only pay $36 a month. Maybe you find yourself in the same situation… if you’d like a quote on Final Expense insurance, just give me a call/text or email.
Sometimes you need a short-term medical policy.
Maybe you’re between jobs, missed Open Enrollment, are soon to be eligible for Medicare or have dropped coverage due to the high cost.
I recently found myself in need a short-term plan to carry me over until Open Enrollment when I can consider an ACA plan. Even though I sell health insurance, I’m just like you and I don’t like to pay a high premium each month. I chose a plan that will cost me about $250 a month with a $5000 deductible. I did have to answer a few health questions and could have been denied coverage if I had certain health issues.
As a plan member, I have access to a large nationwide network of doctors and my doctors are in-network. I had several other options with varying deductibles and coinsurance (the percentage you and I pay) to consider. I could have also added coverage for dental, vision, hospitalization, accidents or cancer.
Short-term plans can now be purchased for as little as 1 month or as long as 3 years in some states. You can also re-apply at the end of each term.
My plan does not cover prescription drugs, eye glasses, pre-existing conditions or pregnancy (don’t need that anymore!), in addition to other limitations and exclusions, so it’s probably not the best choice for everyone, but will work for me as a stepping stone until other coverage is available.
If you are interested in talking about your options with a short-term medical plan, feel free to call, text or email me.
As you probably know, there are many ancillary insurance plans available to you, such as Cancer, Accident, Critical Illness, Short Term Care, Hospital plans, etc. I can offer these plans to you, but I never push them on anyone.
